Abstract/Summary:
The flipped classroom is a new teaching model which subverts the traditional teaching model that takes the teachers as leading,and completely reforms the traditional teaching.HAVTE public English teaching has been following the traditional teaching mode.As the result,there is no starting from teaching practice,no considering its long-term development from individual teachers and higher vocational students,nor did English application ability and quality in higher vocational graduates consider long-term demand in the current society.The obvious exam-oriented education,which do not have English application abilities of the job requirements,has no competitive advantage after higher vocational college graduate.It is not hard to see,the original traditional teaching mode "dumb English","deaf English" hasn’t already met the needs of the HVTE public English teaching.The appearance of the flipped classroom teaching mode improve the traditional teaching mode and emphasizes the student main body status.It also improve students’ classroom learning efficiency,satisfy the need of the HVTE public English teaching,and fill the lack of public English teaching in higher vocational colleges,injecting new vitality to the current education in our country which implements the education informationization.The flipped classroom’s research which is on English teaching in higher vocational colleges can start from the definition and characters of the flipped classroom and teaching situation,focuses on the advantages and disadvantages when the flipped classroom is used in higher vocational English teaching,and thoroughly evaluates the practical effect in China.This thesis takes the students in higher vocational colleges as the teaching object.After knowing whether the students interested in this subject and the students’ English level of skill and attitude by questionnaires and observation,and mastering the basic situation of the students,the teaching of "flip" carries out in the public English class,and it is concluded that the concrete data.It concluded that compared with the traditional classroom teaching mode in higher vocational public English teaching,the flipped classroom promote actively and improve significantly the teaching quality and teaching results.
