Research The Struggle Of Wuhan Underground CPC On The Eve Of The Liberation

On the eve of the liberation of Wuhan, when the People's Liberation Army was carrying out a vigorous armed struggle, Wuhan underground CPC was also being engaged in a little-known but fruitful struggle on a hidden front. The liberation of Wuhan was attributed to the wise leadership of the Communist Party of China led by Mao Zedong, the courageous fighting of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, the hard struggle of underground party organizations in Wuhan and all the people in the city, and the joint efforts of patriotic personages of various circles. Wuhan underground struggle has made a tremendous contribution to the surrendering of Kuomingtang generals, the smooth take-over of Wuhan and the consolidation process of the new regime. This paper aims to find out as much first-hand information as possible through the in-depth digging of files so as to reveal the original face of the liberation of Wuhan; to sum up the struggle characteristics of the underground party in Wuhan during this period through clarifying the struggle by Liqing underground party in Wuhan on the eve of the liberation of Wuhan, to analyze the historical contributions by the underground party to the liberation of Wuhan, and to get an overall inspiration from the local research perspective. In addition, this paper aims to research the communist party's policy on underground struggle and its implementation during the war of liberation, thus to gain the experience and enlightenment of the pepole work and the united front work.The paper consists of four parts:The first part outlines the present research on the underground struggle by the current Chinese academic circle, the significance and innovation of this research, and explanation about two ambiguous problems: the time definition problem of "the eve of the liberation" and the main body definition problem of "the underground communist party in Wuhan".The second part presents an introduction to the general environment of the underground party's struggle on the eve of the liberation of Wuhan from two main aspects. One is to introduce the economic collapse, social unrest and people's hard life on the eve of the liberation of Wuhan from economic, political and military three aspects; and the other is to analyze the fascist rule adopted by the National Government on the eve of its end, economically strengthening monopoly exploitation, putting up a desperate struggle and causing terrorism in society.As the main part of this paper, the third part firstly introduces the leadership of Wuhan underground struggle by the CPC Central Committee during the period of the liberation war as well as the development of the underground party organizations in Wuhan during this period, especially on the eve of the liberation. Moreover, it analyzes and studies the struggle in Wuhan by Wuhan Municipal CPC Committee and the city work departments at all levels in the city from the smash of the peace conspiracy, propaganda, the united front, rebellion, investigation, anti-relocation and destruction and meeting liberation seven aspects. On the basis of analysis and study, the universality, flexibility, and complexity of the underground struggle in Wuhan in this period is summed up.The fourth part sums up five pieces of experience and inspiration of the underground struggle in Wuhan and relates some theories to the experience.
