Inferiority feelings involve kinds of negative mental experience, caused by improper self-evaluation; they in dwell in the group of college students and influence their mental health seriously. Interpersonal safety is defined as the positive experience base on interpersonal communication or interpersonal relations, it greatly contributes to the inferiority feelings of college students. Li Honghan thought of that inferiority feelings was one of the sensibility factors which create interpersonal conflict. It's essence was interpersonal safety. Inferiority feelings and shy reaction was due to one's interpersonal insecurity. In China, the research about individual inferiority feelings of college students is limited, and also in the format of interpersonal relation, lack of the measurement tools of inferiority feelings of college student and interpersonal safety of college student. Inasmuch as the fact of the popularity of inferiority feelings and the deficiency of existed research, this study discussed the relationship between inferiority feelings and interpersonal safety, from the point of interpersonal safety.Based on literature review, open paper and interview, we made up Questionnaire on Interpersonal Safety of College Student and Questionnaire on Inferiority Feelings of College Student, after using these Questionnaires to explore 317 college students, gaining Explore Factor Analysis and Confirmatory Factor Analysis on testing results, factors successfully which agree with the theory. After investigating 735 college students of six universities in Guangxi with self-made Questionnaire on Interpersonal Safety of College Student and Questionnaire on Inferiority Feelings of College Student, explored the relationship between inferiority feelings and interpersonal safety. The results showed that:1. Questionnaire on Interpersonal Safety of College Student was of high reliability and fair validity. The questionnaire could be regarded as a tool of evaluative implement on the condition of interpersonal safety of college students. According to Explore Factor Analysis, interpersonal safety of college students were composed of six dimensions named as nervousness, interpersonal hostility, interpersonal anxiety, interpersonal withdraw, self-obdurate and interpersonal unfaith. Confirmatory Factor Analysis showed that the factors of the questionnaire have reach a good standard. 2. Questionnaire on Inferiority Feelings of College Student was of high reliability and fair validity. The questionnaire could be regarded as a tool of evaluative implement on the condition of inferiority feelings of college students. According to Explore Factor Analysis, inferiority feelings of college student were composed of two dimensions named as self-denial and detestation feeling, self-chagrin feelings. Confirmatory Factor Analysis showed that the factors of the questionnaire have reach a good standard.3. The interpersonal safety of college students were in a high state.4. Interpersonal safety of college students had significance difference in different sex and grade students. Males'scores were higher than that of females in interpersonal hostility, self-obdurate and interpersonal faith, high grade students'scores were higher than those of low grade students.5. One child family student's scores were lower than those of siblings. Normal college student's scores were higher than those of student leaders on interpersonal withdraw and self-obdurate. Students of poor economic conditions scores were higher than those of good economic situation students.6. The inferiority feelings of college students were in a low state, students'score of high grade were higher than those of low grade students in inferiority feelings. Normal college student's scores were higher than those of student leaders in inferiority feelings, student of poor economic conditions scores were higher than that of good economic situation students.7. The correlation between inferiority feelings and interpersonal safety was significant; interpersonal safety of those students in high inferiority feelings was significantly higher than that of those students in low inferiority feelings.8. The results of regression analysis indicated that the interpersonal withdraw, interpersonal hostility, interpersonal anxiety, and self-obdurate had predicting power on the inferiority feelings of college students; interpersonal anxiety, interpersonal withdraw, interpersonal hostility, unstrung, self-obdurate and interpersonal faith had predicting power on self-indignation feeling. interpersonal anxiety, interpersonal hostility, self-obdurate and unstrung had predicting power on inferiority feelings of college student.
