An Analysis Of Suzerain-vassal Relationship Between Modern China And Vietnam

Sino-French War is the result of French-Vietnam War. One of the most important reasons of China got involved in this war is the Suzerain-Vassal relationship between China and Vietnam.The historical Suzerain-Vassal relationship between China and Vietnam is the development of China's internal affairs. It originated from the parting religious system of Xizhou dynasty. It was triggered by the awareness of"Huaxia-centrism". After both countries signed the Peace Agreement, France took Vietnam as one part of France and denied the relationship between China and Vietnam. But China rejected France. Although in Vietnam-land war French failed, but on the sea, it achieved its goal of taking up land. According to the current situation at that time, all the facts were against Qing Dynasty. The great victory of Zheng Nanguan-Liangshan was an accident and partial victory. But Qing Dynasty took this as an opportunity and changed passive situation into active one. They negotiated with France and rapidly end the war with France. Along with the end of Sino-France War and New Treaty of Sino-France, the Sino-Vietnam relationship brought to an end in world history. Vietnam become the springboard for France to invade China.The collapse of Sino-Vietnam relationship is the result of crash of western colonialism. It is a voluntary, unbided relationship of Sino-Vietnam Pan relationship which is used to enphasis on faithfulness but not lawful. The most important reason of its devastation is its ignorance of profits.
