The article points out that research on socialist harmonious culture needs to distinguish the theoretical foundation of guiding ideology and other ideological resources. Chinese traditional culture, ancient western philosophy, Modern Utopian socialist philosophy are all main ideological resources of socialist harmonious culture. But only Marxism theory on Societies, Mao Zedong's theory on Socialist Social Contradictions and Deng Xiaoping's theory on Essence of Socialism are the fundamental guidance of the socialist harmonious culture construction. Socialist harmonious culture is a system with a rich internal structure, in which socialist core value system is the root and center of harmonious culture construction. Without its guidance, the process of forming harmonious society will get lost.
