| Mencius was the main representative figure of the Confucian school of the Warring States period. He inherited and developed the theory of the Confucian school and suggested Human heartedness politics focused on regarding the people as foundation which had deeply affected Chinese culture for 2000 years.The first part is introduction. The second part based on the causes of benevolence introduces the politic, economy and the culture awareness of the Warring States period. It provided a background for benevolence. The author also briefly analyzes three Part's of Mencius'benevolent government theory and discusses the Philosophy basement of Mencius'benevolent government theory: humanity and Uranian idea . In economical aspect,Mencius affirm that peasants should be provided with glebe. In order to make their states richer and stronger,dynasts should develop microeconomic. They should also respect the order of nature developing environmental protecting economy and recourse saving economy. Mencius also suggests that taxes should be limited to protect people's manufacturing enthusiasm. In order to promote the economic development, business should pay enough attention as well as agriculture. In Policy aspect, Mencius is for kingcraft and against arbitrariness, he insists that meritocracy can give and people are more important than dynasts, regarding them as the basement of the state. In cultural aspect,Mencius suggests that school should be built and people be trained and cultivated. Mencius also suggest man should train his volition. The third part ,mainly discuses how to use Mencius'theory for reference ,help us establish our socialism harmonious society,and solve some political,economical and cultural problems we face today. |
