Based on semantic categorization, researches of verbs can be more scientific and accurate. By collecting language materials extensively and combining description and interpretation, form and meaning, we analyzed and described jiazhu verbs on semantic, grammatical and pragmatic levels. This paper is composed of three chapters. The first chapter is introduction, which introduces the significance and state of verb researches, the state of semantic-field verb researches as well as the significance of this topic and research subject and method. The second chapter is case studies of jiazhu verbs. We choose ten typical jiazhu verbs: pei(陪),bang(帮),song(送),dai(带),fu(扶),chan(搀),bao(抱),la(拉),bei(背),lou(搂). They have the common semantic feature [+伴随],which enable them to form compound predicate structures. This chapter includes four sections. The first section studies pei(陪) and its related issues. It discusses phrases about pei(陪)and phrases including pei(陪).They are typical non-terminative verbs which have incomplete meanings but possess certain grammatical functions. The sentence structures constructed by these verbs can be single-predicate and complex-predicate, but mainly complex-predicate. This section makes comprehensive analyses from the perspectives of semantic formation and grammatical structure. The second section investigates bang(帮)and its related issues. It discusses bang(帮),bangzhu(帮助) and their overlapped forms. They can form single and complex predicate structures, of the latter, there are chain -verbal structure, compound-subjective structure and mixed structure. The third section talks about the two verbs song(送), dai(带) and their related issues. These two verbs have the feature of weak motion and possess non-terminative characteristic. The sentence structures formed by them are mostly associated with other verbs which possess the meaning of tendency. And this makes the sentence a whole semantic meaning. The fourth section investigates the verb fu(扶)and its related issues. This section chooses six verbs which are closely related to human activities and analyzes their semantic functions and sentence structures. As typical motion verbs, this class of verbs mainly adopts the structure of verb- complement to form compounded phrases. Simultaneously, the strong feature of motion makes these verbs applied mainly in ba(把) sentence structure. The third chapter studies jia zhu verbs and expression. By citing Lv Shuxiang's grammar ideas and borrowing from his researching thread, we analyzed jiazhu verbs, their application in imperative sentences. We also studied the differences between their functions as executant and receiver, the temporal relations of two motions in complex-predicate structures. We examined jia zhu verbs and their structures from the perspective of expressing ideas.Through this study, we obtained a comprehensive knowledge of jiazhu verbs'grammatical structure and semantic meaning and made a preliminary try on the research method from expression to structure. Meanwhile, this study testifies the advisability of studying verbs by categorizing verbs from the perspective of semantic meanings.
