"Poetry", "Song", "Emotion" In HuangZi's Solo Songbook "Melody Of Missing Spring"

The art song, first appeared in Germany and called as"Lied", is the generic term of one kind of lyric song which is popular in the early 19th century in Europe. It is the product of romantic music; it is also the comprehensive music style which shows the delicate combination about poem and music, lyrics and songs. It shares half and half in the vocal music history with the opera, possessing very strong artistic skill and the artistic power.China's art song began to develop, taking the works of Xiao Youmei, Zhao Yuanren et al. in1920s as the symbol. After half a century's ups and downs, the Chinese art songs began develop from creation to becoming more mature. It has absorbed the characteristic of West art song style, and also has inherited China's cultural tradition, containing its unique singing style and charm. Mr. HuangZi's art song is also the perfect manifestation of these characteristic.Mr. HuangZi was an important composer, music theorist, music educationalist with high reputation in the modern Chinese music history. In his brief life, he has composed many works with different styles and themes, and the vocal music brings him the top place no matter in terms of importance or quantity. What's more, his art songs are not only provided with the western characteristics also inherent the Chinese traditional culture, which contribute to the most valuable part of his artistic creation. This thesis intends to take"poetry","song"and"emotion"in Mr. HuangZi's solo songbook"Melody of Missing Spring"as the point cut. The songbook contains the following three art songs"Home Missing","Melody of Missing Spring"and"Three Wishes of Rose"which not only take in the essence of German and Austrian art songs, but also integrate with the style of Chinese folk music. The unique singing style, combining the poetry, songs and emotions as a whole, makes it the model of the art songs in the music history of China. The thesis is going to study the general control and specific operation of the above three art songs associating with my practical experience as well as analyze the singing skill of the vocal music. It consists of their music artistic features, art representation and singing style. Simultaneously, it will give a specific analysis about the singing style while bringing the singing skill into the songs. In this way, it will provide us more information to solve the problems present possibly when singing and try to master the singing skills of this kind. It is believed to be of great help to the singing of the art songs, moreover, offer much value for the studying of vocal music.The thesis is composed of four parts:The first part introduces briefly Mr. HuangZi's biography as well as his artistic creation, and lays more emphasis on his solo songbook"Melody of Missing Spring ".The second part, from the angle of"poetry", it has studied the following aspects systematically about the three art songs in the songbook: creation theme, perfect union of music and the poetry, as well as the utilization of the poetry language and the syntax in singing.The third part, from the angle of"song", presents the singing skill research to these three art songs, including breathe sympathetic response, bite word enunciate and sound volume and rhythmThe fourth part, from the angle of"emotion", has stated the emotional presentation about the three art songs in detail, including emotional analysis of lyrics and the mold of it.Finally, in the conclusion part, the author holds center of the full text firmly—Three art songs"poetry","song"and"emotion", which summarizes the viewpoints that stated and analyzed above. All this has fully manifested the unique artistic effects of Mr. HuangZi's art songs and the obtaining of"the artistry"when sings Mr. HuangZi's art songs, thus appears the true meaning which the art song must have. And we should utilize the obtained viewpoint in the actual vocal music study and the teaching, which will make"poetry","song", and"emotion"a perfect manifestation when singing these art songs and enhance the ability and the skill while vocal music learners singing this kind of song, and achieve the important meaning in composing this paper.
