The Study On The Expressing Ways Of The Meaning Of Beginning In Modern Chinese

As one of the Tenses,the initiative tense means the phase of beginning in the time order.There are five ways expressing this tense in Modern Chinese as following:firstly,use the time nouns;secondly,use the verbs "begin" or "qi"(起);thirdly,use the compounds formed by "kai+X" or "qi+X",e.g.take off(起飞);the forth,use the words "qilai(起来)" "qi (起)" "shang(上)" "kai/kailai(开/开来)" after the verbs and ajectives; the fifth,use the word "begin" and those words such as "qilai(起来)" "shang (上)" etc.at the same time.People have studied deeply on these expressing ways except the way using "begin" and the past studies didn't pay much attention to the comparative studies of these expressing ways.So this paper will mainly study the way using "begin" based on the detailed examples and do the comparative studies by transformation analysis and distribution analysis to figure out the respective characteristics and using conditions.Hopely it can help people learn and master the exactly approaches of beginning,move forward the reseaches of the beginning tense in Modern Chinese and offer a reference for Chinese teaching home and abroad.
