On The Composition Morphology And Creativity Of The Digital Animation Film

Nowadays, with a highly developed digital information technology, mediums of arts has become more varied and abundant. It is under this background that the digital animation film has developed into a new form of artistic expression. Its unique structure and distinct visual forms have called the attention of designers.Undoubtedly, with the strong support of digital technology, there comes more space of development in terms of the originality and production of the animated shorts, among which the three-dimensional animation films and FLASH animation films, with their respective features, are more prominent. The 3D animation film can offer intensive and real-to-life visual effects, and create virtual lighting effects and textures. And its visual effects can also be conveniently adjusted to the designers' imagination. Furthermore, it also has strength in presenting action and special effects. However, all these should be technically built on a powerful hardware and software support. From a technical point of view, FLASH animation films are simper than the three-dimensional animation films, but its unique artistic representation and distinct visual effects find no parallel in 3D arts. It is because of the low technical threshold of FLASH animations that creativity should be given more attention in this area.Through analysis of the artistic and technical features of digital animation films, this paper explores the form and originality of digital animation films. In order to carry out an integral study on this theme, the paper firstly gives an elaboration on relevant conceptions and analysis on the artistic field changed in digital times, which is followed by an interpretation of the form and originality of the digital animation films in three parts. They are technical composition, performance patterns and plot creativity. This paper, from a technical point of view, discusses the general designing process of three-dimensional animation and some of the problems encountered in it as well as the influence on animation exerted by modern technology. Meanwhile, the working mechanism and features of the FLASH animation films will also be explained. In terms of forms of presentation, through discussion on various media like TV commercial, MTV, film opening, game opening and movie, architectural animation and educational animation, this paper shows the various forms of digital animation films and its social value as well as its commercial value. In terms of its plot creativity, several creative types and their respective artistic features will also be analyzed and explored.In the final part, this paper will deal with the present status of digital animation in China and attempts to offer corresponding solutions to the problems we are facing now as well as an outlook for the prospects of digital animation films.
