Construction Of Common Nouns' Section In The Electronic Dictionary Of Khokh Sudar

Mongolian Corpus has been constructed since 1980s, but it has been seldom used in the filed of compiling dictionaries. It is a kind of tentative task to compile a dictionary in Mongolian which was just based on the author's corpus. We constructed corpus in Khokh Sudar for compiling The Electronic Dictionary of Khokh Sudar, and chose common nouns from the corpus. We were compiling the dictionary on the basis of lexicology and following strictly research approaches on computational linguistics and corpus linguistics. There are five parts in this paper, such as four chapters and summary.The first chapter is an introduction. It illustrated the significance of study, research methods, and current situation of the study both home and abroad.In the second chapter it was introducing corpus in Khokh Sudar and construction of branch warehouse of common nouns.Third chapter was the focal point in the whole paper. It was introducing branch warehouse of common nouns, including principles of compiling a dictionary, features of new type of dictionaries, choosing words and creating the catalog, paraphrasing common nouns.It was listed some complicated questions in compiling dictionaries, and proposed some methods in the forth chapter.Finally, it was summarizing the task of compiling dictionaries and advantages of using corpus, and some questions in the follow-up work.
