The dissertation studies the novel of Huang biyun from the point of view of Hongkong's consciousness. Our traditional literature history which was written and compiled according to our mainland people's logic and angle of view is merely "the mainland literature history". But this kind of literature history bookmaking which is comes from mainland is compiled by means of patching up all the dollops, among which Formosas' and Hongkongs' literature are treated as the losing dollop in Chinese literature. Thus the individuality of its literature is submerged in enumerating of datum and phenomenon. Our understanding of Hongkong has been rest on the feeling of mainland for a long time, which is unidentified with Hongkong itself. The history of Hongkong differs from mainland, and it has countless ties with western culture because of its domination by England for century. It is veridical to study Hongkong's literature from the angle of Hongkong people instead of from mainland ones. After 1980',Anglo-Chinese negotiation , Hongkong's colony status began to disappearing and it came back to the motherland. The huge change wakes up the Hongkong peoples' own culture awareness, so there are a lot of reminiscence works come forth which are recomposed the history of Hongkong and a mass of discussion about Hongkong culture status. Thereinto, a lot of authors and works hackle and narrate the special state and status of Hongkong. A good many of works from Hung biyun is just describing the search for culture status. One of her works Lose City is a typical magnum opus, depainting the large concussion to hongkong people and Englishmen because of the affaire of "lose city", so that Hongkong consciousness achieves its climax. The dissertation analyses and studies the novels of Huang biyun under this background. In order to explore and sum up the massive Hongkong consciousness in her works, it labors the novels from the point of view of "lose city", "distressed city", "unstable city" and "our city". The dissertation proceeds with its concrete text and conclude her writing feature, that is postmodernism writing, bi-voice art, and au pair recount angle, which is affected by the Hongkong consciousness. The postmodernism writing techniques include: character names are only treated as sign which can be repeated in different works; the characters personality blurs; the characters are desalted even to clear up; clearing up depends on polt and character's realism culture tradition, which embodies many premonitions of un-focus and scattering; always behaves in the way of structural leap, temporal gap, lingual part, thinking faultage; stories which seems unrelated broke up and combined and complected. The bi-voice art in her novel behaves in: the clew of her novels and the combination of the character present good-sized dialog; characters present bi-voice, that is "mini-sized dialog" feature. Au pair recount angle consists in equality point of view. She describes a foreigner from the point of view of an au pair human being, neither from the looking up angle as the colonists nor glowering angle as one of a common people in large state. She treats half-blooded Hongkong people or foreigners coequally without discrimination. The dissertation compares Huang biyun with Zhang ailing, analyzing the similarities and differences between them, finding out the reasons, and at last get the conclusion that Huang biyuns' works are the succeeding and exertion of zhang ailings'. Arising the readers to face Huang Biyun's noval squarely in this currently misreading situation, and gave a reasonable evaluation of her position in literary history.
