Derrida is one of the most important French philosophers in the 20th century. His theory of Deconstruction has arosen durative discussion since its emergence. Although his narrative is powerful and unconstrained and his thought is profound and obscure, a great deal of important research has been accomplished. Contrary to the abundant concerns with his philosophical theories, the author found there was not enough research on his view of literature which kept lastingly attractive for Derrida along his whole life and career.Therefore, his view of literature should be the key word to his theory of Deconstruction. The author is going to review Derrida's view on literature at the aim to evaluate his literary thought.The introduction will demonstrate the whole style of Derrida's deconstruction and his spirital essence. Derrida showed great creativity and strong will of practice and liberty in his create of deconstruction.The first chapter will review Deconstruction as the philosophy background of Derrida. Derrida created Deconstruction on the basis of his critical research of Phenomenology and Structuralist theories.Deconstruction views the Western philosophy as logocentrism and aims to destruct the Western metaphysical system;The second chapter will demonstrate his view on literature which is the center of his thought. The main viewpoint is as follows: literature is the embodiment of deconstruction in aesthetic field, and the most powerful facor in ideological factors; literature is a kind of construction of destruction;literature is an act;The third chapter will demonstrate the value and demerit of his literary thought.On one hand,with its creativity and power, his view on literature fiercely struck the traditional literary thought and illuminate a new road for literary thought; on the other hand, his liteary thought is severely criticized for its obscurity and destruction.
