China is well-known as "Country of Etiquette".The "Li" culture influenced and instructed the thoughts and behaviors of the people in almost five thousands years of chinese history,leaving us precious cultural and spifital heritage."Li" is a very important component of the traditonal chinese culture and also the core of the Confucianism theory.The development and changes of the "Li" cultrue has always been strongly connected with social development and cultural progress and it still possesses the era character even today and could be applied to construct the harmonious society. The objective of"Li" was to regulate and rule the relationship among people to keep them middle-of-the road while avoid too much or insufficent so as to accord with the regularity of the natural and social development."Li" pursued the ordered progress and harmonious coexistance of the people,nature and society by controlling and modifying their relationship among the three of them.5.The contemporary value of the "He" notion"Li"played a key role in maintaining the social order with its distinctive order and moral value.We can still find the reasons of its existance at present and apply it to modern society after proper modification.The concept of "He" in traditional culture is invaluable for constructing the modern harmonious society.We should succeed and develop the "He" notion from the following aspects:firstly,instruct the harmony among people,nature and society with "He" notion;secondly,reinforce the practice of "ruling the country with moral";lastly,develop the traditonal chinese "Li" culture education unsparingly.
