Poem is a treasure of the literature. As far as our country is concerned, the great revolution about poem took place during the"May Fourth Literature Revolution". Contemporary Chinese language as well as the predecessor-the writings in the vernacular brought about chances to the birth of the Chinese language, and it became the catalyst which made the poem turn to be modernized. The modern poems have less restriction in form, more broadness in content, more freedom in technique of expression, and easily to be accepted and written compared with the classical poems. Therefore, modern poems received the youth's warm favor from their birth. At the 80s of the last century, particularly, the writing of modern poems had already become the whole youth's common interest. However, today, the persons who read poems together with the persons who write poem in our society are rare. In addition, The teaching of modern poems to high school students is in an embarrassment place. Quite a few middle school students seldom read poems in leisure times, let alone write poems besides just learning the poems in the text book, which is a pity.With a view of the above facts, this thesis pointed out the subsistent questions in the status quo of modern poem's teaching and put forward some revolution conceive by means of investigation and analyzed under the basis of probing to the teaching worth of the modern poems. This thesis can be divided into 4 parts.Chapter 1 defined the modern poems. This chapter is the premise of the investigation to the modern poem's teaching. Only confined the subject investigated, can we conduct correlative and pointed investigation.Chapter 2 carried out intensive study to value of the modern poem's teaching from the traditional and actual significance perspectives.Chapter 3 analyzed the modern poem's teaching status quo in terms of teaching material, teaching and evaluation, which is the emphasis of the research and the significance.Chapter 4 put forward some feasible evolution conceives aimed to the underlying problem in modern poems'teaching.
