The ‘Guang Yi Cong Bao',founded in Chongqing in the April of 1903 and lasted for nine years,was the longest and most influential large-scale comprehensive magazine in the southwest of the late Qing Dynasty.It was also an important field for the intellectuals to publish their opinions in western China,and once became the official organ of the Chongqing branch of the United League of China.Its "Guo Feng" column published all kinds of poetries,not only witnessing the three stages for the development of poetry tide in the late Qing Dynasty,which was conform to the current trend of that times,but also showing the political,cultural and social characteristics of Chongqing and also some other southwest areas like Sichuan,Guizhou,Yunnan and Tibet,and having some effects on these areas.In the early days of the ‘Guang Yi Cong Bao',it responded actively to the revolutionary movement of the poetic that were initiated by Liang Qichao based on the Yokohama's "The China Discussion" and "Sein Min Choong Bou ".It was not only reprinted a lot of new poems in the main revolutionary field of the poetic,but also published a large number of poems that had prominent regional features and created by the poets in Sichuan.‘Guang Yi Cong Bao'became a key place for the poetic evolution in the southwestern China.Soon,the patriotic revolutionary poetry tide founded in Tokyo and Shanghai concession which depended on the revolutionary intellectuals revolutionary newspapers booming,the channel “Guofeng”of Chongqing ‘Guang Yi Cong Bao'also keeped catching it,showing the scholar and women in the Shu who had the ideal,the bloody,and the ambition of daring to get the world's first revolutionary,reflecting the distinctive characteristics of the new poem,witnessed the poetic revolution movement and the state of mixand-match in revolutionary poetry boom.In Guangxuan period,as the poetic revolution movement fading away and the revolutionary poetry tide going to peace,the TongGuang style poetry was increasingly holding to the Parnassus supremacy,this historical situation was witnessed by the column poetry in ‘Guang Yi Cong Bao'.And a large number of published poem in the newspaper filled with regional characteristics of Bashu had recorded the social psychology of scholar and oceans apart at that times,giving the big time a history record and having certain literary value and historical significance.
