Di Baoxian Clan is a prominent family in Liyang, with high educated offspring of literature and loyalty, thus many of them stood out in the Imperial Examinations. Di Yunding, the fourteenth ancestor, was an outstanding among the adherents of the Late Ming Dynasty, with loyal and moral integrity. His poetry's value was thought of having both the feature of Tao Yuanming and Du Fu. Di Baoxian , Di Yunding'offspring ,was a very influential figure, during the period of the Late Qing to Early Republic of China, With his good lineage and his talents, Di Baoxian had a great deal of company, and took actively part in a series of important historical events such as amelioration and constitutionality movements. He ran newspaper office and a publisher, and dedicated his life to innovative public opinion and to preserve the national essence. So he was called "the first man of the cultural circles" at that time. Di Baoxian was keen on poetry and prose from his early age, later made tremendous achievements in Poetry and Literary Criticism in the process of exchanging poem and prose with many reformists and celebrities.
