Analysis On Literary Image And Cultural Symbol About Wolf-text

The texts about wolf emerges as if between one night, the literary work like "fondly remembers Wolf", "Year, month and day", "Wolf Totem", commercial text like"the Principle of wolf", "Wolf Road", movies like " Dance with wolf", "Gold Dog in the snow", other text like popular lyrics, advertisements and so on, all take the wolves as main or important objects for description. Regarding this kind of phenomenon, not yet any people make whole explanation until now.This article analyzes wolf-text through literary image and cultural symbol about wolf-text. The first part comprises the analysis of literary image about wolf-text. Starting from"literary image of wolf deity"in the myth and totem, writer of this article have a exploration for origin of the literary image; Followed after the historical succession of literary image about the wolf-text, under the backgrounds of Chinese Contemporary Literature in which wolf literary image has Polysemy ,by the vision of ecocriticism, the writer carefully examines the wolf literature and the wolf literary image.The second part studies the cultural symbol of wolf-text, explores the meaning and value of wolf image which were accumulated in the culture through the long history, explains the representative cultural symbol in the texts about wolves. Lies between the classical culture and the pop culture, between the Eastern culture and the Western culture, carries on the comparison among the cultural symbol. Specially the research of cultural symbol in the commercial culture, which the predecessor has not attempted. I hope that this article will have a contribution to the present study of wolf-text.
