On The Pre-Qin Dynasty Philosophy Of "Xu" Dialectical Development

This paper tries to Locate the concept"Xu"in pre-Qin philosophy From crosswise and longitudinal (relation and development) latitude. First, This article Elaborate"Xu"and other basic philosophy concept relations from the crosswise latitude embarks, and explain that"Xu"has the relative determinism: Chuang Tzu explain"Xu"with"the substance", but Hsün Tzu do it with"the mind". Then explain that"Xu"has the unceasing expansibility, which has a Dialectical developing process, according to the longitudinal latitude.Paper is divided into six sections: introduction, composed of four chapters and the conclusion. The introduction had first expounded studies significance, investigated this article main mentality, research content and method, through analysis research present situation. Then contacts with the philosophy background and the subject, promulgates reason which the concept Proposed. The First and second chapters explain the relations between"Xu"and"the substance","Xu"and"the mind". expound the difference of"Xu"in their philosophy is decided by"the substance"and"the mind", through analysis Chuang Tzu and Hsün Tzu respective concept system. The third chapter analysis"Xu"itself meaning, found the union starting point with"the substance"and"the mind", compared with their substantive difference.
