Dong Chuance(1530~1579), was a native of Songjiang county. In 1558, He was imprisoned that because of his impeachment the prime minister of the time named Yan Song. Later, he was banished to Nanning, Guangxi Province. This Paper, with the 8 chapters of travel notes of QIYOUMANJI by Dong Chuance as the research target, is to carry out version identification, character collation, aiming to let the readers understand Dong Chuance and his travel notes.The foreword generally includes this aspects, such as the research on Dong Chuance's Life, works and the information about the edition, relegation life and creative travels, makes deep study on the ideas and content, the artistic characters of Dong Chuance and his works, aiming at showing his values of literature, with the hope to make a comparatively scientific and objective and penetrating evaluation to Dong Chuance and his works.This thesis, collation and annotation on QIYOUMANJI , is based on the 8 chapters of travel notes of QIYOUMANJI published by Dong Chuanwen in Wanli year of Ming Dynasty, referenced by the 4 chapters of travel notes of QIYOUMANJI published in Wanli'29th of Ming Dynasty, and the travel notes collected in YUEXIWENZAI,GUJINTUSHUJICHENG and GUJINYOUJICONGCHAO. In accuracies of both the editions has been rectified from historical facts, character and phonology under the principles of analyzing and comparisons, so its original flavor has been resumed at its great extend. Even punctuations and notations try to be accurate and elaborate. With an expectation that the reader would easily get a correct understanding of the original text.
