Bao Shi Chen is a calligrapher, calligraphy theorist, is also an outstanding calligraphy educator of Qing Dynasty in China. During the time of Qianlong and Jiaqing emperor in the Qing Dynasty, epigraphy and textual research have a greatly development, the climax ' of inscription calligraphy also came into being. One of Bao Shi Chen' s works, "Yi Zhou Shuang Ji", has made great contribution to promote "the development of inscription calligraphy. In his book, he mainly focused on calligraphy techniques and elaborated his calligraphy study ideas, from hold and use brush, build stroke, art of composition to method of using ink. His theory of techniques, keep attention to learning the art of calligraphy from the micro-level, with strong Operability. Therefore, this book were bought and copied when it comes out, and formed a fever of inscription in the North of China. For this reason, through its informative techniques system, he established a 'Bao' s' characteristic calligraphy teaching method.Bao Shi Chen not only set up his own ideology of the calligraphy thought, he also committed to the promotion of such thinking. However, owing to the practice thought of calligraphy that he has been promoted exist shortcomings, it have been doubted by some scholars of future generations. He even been suspected that he had exaggerated. Based on the analysis of the original relationship between calligraphy thought and techniques theory, BaoShichen not really a good calligrapher on the practice level, but if on the level of student inspiration with guidance sense, he is an outstanding educator in Chinese calligraphy. From his personal calligraphy study and practice, he summarized the ways and methods of learning and practice calligraphy and teached his own experiences to his disciples. In the following time, the school of 'Bao' formed. It very popular in the late Qing Dynasty and has also had a more far-reaching implications to the future generations.
