Beginning writing on 1970s, Duoduo has kept unknown to public for nearly 20 years. He didn't draw our attention until the discovery of "Baiyangdian Poetry Club". From then on, Duoduo has become a hotspot of the criticism field: In 2001, he was awarded the Angao Poetry Prize and in 2004 the Chinese Media Literature Prize. The importance of Duoduo as a poet has demonstrated growing significance day by day along with the time advancement: Various history books of contemporary poetry start taking Duoduo as a "Menglong" poet and the "Menglong" anthology also makes the corresponding adjustment. By putting Duoduo into the vicissitudes of 30-year poetry idea, this article will search the reason of his status change in the poetry history. It is developed from two perspectives, the poetry skill and the cultural context of both 1980s and 1990s.The introduction outlines the course of Duoduo from being ignored to being attached importance. Then I put forth a question why Duoduo encountered such situations and point out the intension of this article.By studying relative historical materials in Chapter I, I offer readers a faithful and particular description of Duoduo's encounter ,together with the analysis of different experts. In Chapter II,I offer a possible explain of Duoduo's ingloriousness. I discuss it from two angles, respectively the image and the structure of sentence and at the same time make comparisons with the mainstream "Menglong poetry" writing and the "Third Generation Poetry" writing. The Third Chapter focuses its emphasis on the concept of time, "culture hero" and melody and discusses the upsurge of Duoduo. In the last part, I summarize the different understandings of "Menglong Poetry" from 1980s and 1990s and reveal the drawbacks of the history writing of the contemporary poetry.
