As a well know representative 'Misty' poet and the only pure poet of fairy tales,Gu Cheng has played an irreplaceable role in the contemporary literary world. He has devoted his entire life creating a fantastic fairy homeland which derives from a lasting communion with nature. This essay examines and outlines Gu Cheng's fairy art from three perspectives: philosophical foundation, psychological elements and characteristics of thinking. Firstly, the concept of 'homeland' is both the foundation and core of his fairy theory, which is disserted in terms of Hlderlin and Heidegger's theories in this paper. Secondly, the essay provides an insight into the contradiction and unity of his fairy perception: temptation and death; it also analyzes and studies in detail the co-existence of the aspiration and disillusionment of the fairy homeland. Thirdly, with regard to the most charming fairy art of Gu Cheng's poetry, this paper explores from the children's point of view, and it is indicated that childlike 'suffused with intelligence' characteristic, fairytale 'fantasy' characteristic and the children's innocence with languages are numbers of key components of his fairy art.
