Research Of Features Of Network Behavior And Psychological Risk Factors Of The Youth With Internet Addiction Disorder

Objective:(1)Researching the internet behavior character of internet addiction disorder the youth under the Chinese economy and culture condition;(2)To do the comprehensive evaluation for the relative psychology risk of internet addiction disorder and found out the psychology etiology of it,offered the basis on theory and instructions in practice for prevent, diagnose,consult,and clinical intervene the internet addiction disorder of the youth.Method:According to the random-cluster sampling principle,from October to December in 2006,605 students which have internet experience were draw out as testee and investigated by EPQ,UCLA, TSCS and internet addiction disorder test,internet behavior character questionnaire at Hunan modern logistic college,Hunan Senior Public Security College,Hunan normal university.And all the data of investigation verified by Chi- Square test,Independent Samples T test, Logistic regression test through spss 13.0.Result:(1)There are 10.7%internet addiction disorder the youth in all the testee.(2)Internet Addiction disorder group and normal group showing a significant gender,urban and rural differences and occupation differences of their fathers.Males are more than females in Internet Addiction disorder group and the youth came from urban are become addicted more easily.Their father's occupations of the youth in the Internet Addiction disorder group mostly are workers and Liberal professions. There is no significant differences between the two groups in grade, Professional,education background of their parents,their mother's occupations,and if they are the only child in their family or not(3)The first time of their age of testee to use internet is much younger in Internet Addiction disorder group than normal group.The internet age,Maximum times online in a day,a week,the average times online everyday,a week,every time,the longest online time of every time, every day and every week are higher than normal group(p＜0.5).Internet Addiction disorder group and normal group showing a condition and place differences to go online.The youth who have their own computers at home or dormitories and have convenient conditions to go online are getting addicted more easily.They would rather to choose dormitories or internet cafe to go online.(4)There is no difference between the two groups in the online content,interpersonal relationships,technology and information.But the addiction disorder group's scores of network entertainment,sex and gambling are significantly higher than normal group.There is no difference between the two groups in internet attitude for the feeling of internet control,positive evaluation(p＞0.5),on the contrary,there is significant differences that addiction disorder group gets higher scores in negative evaluation,internet behavior tendencies,Online Anxiety, network satisfaction(p＜0.5).(5)According to the result investigated by EPQ questionnaire,there are significant differences in scores on P,N,L.(P= 0.00).The addiction disorder group gets higher scores than normal group on P,N,but lower in L,no differences on E.According to the result investigated by UCLA questionnaire,there is significant differences in the feeling of loneliness, the addiction disorder group gets higher scores than normal group(P= 0.00).According to the result investigated by TSCS questionnaire,there are differences in various dimensions of self-concept(p＜0.5),the addiction disorder group gets lower scores than normal group.According to the result investigated by IPC questionnaire,there are significant differences in two dimensions of powerful others and opportunities(P= 0.00),the addiction disorder group gets higher scores than normal group, but there is no difference in Internal controls(p＞0.5). (6)After analyzed by Logistic regression the result showing:the six Variables of network satisfaction,the feeling of loneliness,Internal controls,the average time online of every time,every day,if they are the only child in their family or not,could be better predict if the youth addicted to the internet or not.The psychology risk factors of male teenagers consistent with overall,only the average time online of every time do not enter the regression models.But there is large differences of female youth compared with male youth and overall in psychology risk factors.The six factors of network entertainment,sex and gambling, neuroticism,the maximum times online in a week,the average time online of every week and the urban and rural differences could predicted if the teenagers addicted to the internet or not.Conclusion:(1)There are significant differences between Internet Addiction disorder group and normal group in gender,urban and rural differences,the first time of their age to use internet,internet age,and the time,times,content,attitude,feelings that relative to internet.(2)Psychological factors have significant impact on the youth internet addiction.(3)It could be better predict that if the youth addict to internet through the internet behavior features and psychology character.There are large differences between male and female youth who addict to internet,it can be predicted mostly by internet behavior features.
