Internet addiction is a serious social problem, which has brought a series of negative effects on college students' study and life, and has aroused great attention from the whole society. In recent years, studies have found that family, school, peers and other factors play an important role in Internet addiction, but most studies start from a single risk factor to discuss its impact on Internet addiction.Based on the theory of biological ecology, this study discusses the impact of multiple risk factors on Internet addiction and the internal mechanism from the perspective of cumulative ecological risk.Taking college students as the research objects, this paper discusses the mechanism of cumulative ecological risk on college students' Internet addiction from the perspectives of basic psychological needs and sensation seeking.A questionnaire study was conducted among 476 college students aged 18 to 24 to investigate the effect of cumulative ecological risk on Internet addiction. The results showed that there was a significant positive correlation between cumulative ecological risk and Internet addiction of college students.Cumulative ecological risk had an adverse effect on Internet addiction of college students, and this effect presented a "negative acceleration model".Cumulative ecological risk significantly predicts Internet addiction, and most of these predictors are stronger than single risk factors. In the second study,592 college students aged from 18 to 24 years old were selected as the research objects. The cumulative ecological risk questionnaire,Internet addiction scale, sensation seeking scale and basic psychological needs satisfaction scale were used to measure the Internet addiction, sensation seeking and basic psychological needs of college students. The results show that sensory seeking plays a mediating role between cumulative ecological risk and Internet addiction. The satisfaction of basic psychological needs plays a mediating role between cumulative ecological risk and Internet addiction, and these two mediators are parallel mediators. The results show that the cumulative ecological risk has a strong predictive effect on college students' Internet addiction, and this adverse effect shows a negative acceleration model.Sensation seeking and basic psychological need are parallelmediating variables. Therefore, the joint influence of multiple factors should be considered in the future study of Internet addiction. In order to reduce the current situation of Internet addiction among college students, interventions should be made according to different mediating variables in the future prevention and intervention of Internet addiction,so as to achieve better intervention effects.
