The rise of the Middle-Age cites is an important event in the history of the Middle-Age in the Western Europe development process, It indicates the direction of the future development of Europe , is the cornerstone of European progress. The further urbanization has been produced profound influence on the fields of politics, economics and culture of Europe . It is the city development ,the appearance of city citizens, the emergence of secular culture , the earlier building up of city citizens' ideology ,the set up and perfection of urban education and cultural facilities , the outcropping of new values , and the challenge of reason against traditional belief that give birth to the first thought liberation movement in Europe . In a sense , the rise of city conceives the renaissance , thus the middle-age city development produced profound influence on the later renaissance.This thesis mainly surrounds with the influence of city on the Renaissance , and can be divided into four parts. The first part is concerned with the city education and culture development of Middle-Age cities ; the second part discusses the rise of Universities and its influence on the Renaissance ; the third part concerns the formation of city citizens and its influence on the Renaissance ; and the fourth part mainly deals with the city political system's influence on the Renaissance.
