Guidance Of Tone Colour Configuration In Piano Teaching Utilizing "Orchestration Thinking"

The tone color, as one of the most critical factors constituting music, attracts pianists to dedicate themselves to it in their whole life. Employing the idea of "orchestration", this paper declares some key problems such as the integrated configuration for the tone color and functions of all the components in piano music, which are the research objectives as well. This paper is composed of four chapters briefly described as follows. Chapterâ… illustrates the meaning and contribution of the tone color to music. The concept, meaning and close relationship to the piano music of "orchestration", and tone color configuration are introduced in great detail in Chapterâ…¡. Chapterâ…¢intends to expose the tone color repository of piano music by referring to the piano instrumental performance, innovation and development of piano playing, tone color aesthetic sense of influential composers in various times, and the two aspects, the touching key and pedal, that are the closest ones to the tone color tuning in the piano playing technique. Finally Chapterâ…£specifies the relative teaching cases for analysis considering how to utilize the "orchestration" as a guidance of tone color configuration in piano teaching.This thesis intends to illustrate the tone color configuration in piano works by studying on "orchestration" existing in composition of orchestral music so as o enlighten the piano learners and players to learn, acknowledge and feel the appropriate tone color configuration of notes. Meanwhile, The functions and their interactive cooperation of tone color in works are deeply figured out by means of "orchestration".
