Qigang Chen is a contemporary composer who traveled to France. He has been taught by the world-famous composer Messian and has written a lot of excellent works.Qigang's Chen creation not only reflects the spiritual connotation of traditional Chinese culture, but also reveals the Western portrayal of specific depictions of objects such as light and color,as well as unique technical techniques, with particular emphasis on the use of orchestral instrumentation techniques. This article takes the symphonic concerto "Butterfly Love Flower" as the research object. The work consists of nine movements, using three vocal lines and three traditional Chinese folk instruments combined with an orchestra to represent nine different women or nine different characters of one woman. The article introduces the band compilation and creative background of the work through three chapters.Focusing on the structural features reflected by the combination of longitudinal parts, the use of texture, and the layout of the tone color in the horizontal direction, combining the elements of strength, pitch, rhythm, and performance, the combing technique of the work is comprehensively combed. The choice of topics and entry points to some extent reflect the composer's preference in orchestral writing.
