Researches On The Pragmatic Presupposition Application

Presupposition is the complex questions in logic. Since the 19th century, a German logist called Frege formally introduced presupposion into logic. Many other logists and linguists such as Russell, Strawson made seriously study on this issue, which has aroused widespread concern in the academic community. In the next two centuries, logists and linguists began to understand the important role of presupposition in thinking and language communication from different perspectives, which became more and more systemly. The research perspectives became more and more extensive and the area which covered more subjects is more and more rich.This paper recalls the process of the Presupposition theory, sums up the main viewpoints from some important representatives of our predecessors, focus on analyzing the important results from those logists and linguists in the field of language presupposition and preliminarily analys the application of presupposition thoery in daily life. This paper is divided into four parts:(1)Elaborats the modern academic significance through recalling the presupposition theory of those main representative such as Frege, Russell and Strawson.(2)Pragmatics the definition and characteristics of the language presupposition and its relationship with the implicit culvert and the relations between the language and context.(3)Elaborates Zhou Liquan's Pragmatic logical theory from a unique perspective and preliminarily analyses.(4)Reveals the importance of pragmatic presupposition from the specific applications in law, advertising and reporter's questions in daily life.The main purpose is to reveal the practical value of pragmatic presupposition through reviewing and summarizing the predecessors'concerns and research on presupposition theory. The research shows that Deeply understanding the development and the orientation of the presupposition theory will enable researchers to start the subject and promote the all-round development of the natural language logic on the basis of the existing presupposition. The found, understanding and mastering of presupposition theory is not only conducive to the development of interpersonal relationships and effective information transfering,but also can improve the efficiency of communication. The fully development and understanding of the presupposition theory by human resources have important practical significance in the prospects in the promotion of interpersonal communication or even man-machine communication.
