The crisis of environment has become the general question that the society face nowadays.How to effectively solve the crisis of environment which is the question that the environment scholars from all countries wanted to devote to solve.The Western environmental ethicists have given a lot of important points of the.view.Rolston inherited them and then developed his "intrinsic value" environmental ethicists.The core of Rolston is the "intrinsic value",He think the natural value is the inherent attributes of the thing,and it existed objectively.For the intrinsic value,he Kind-hearted human should bear the responsibilities and obligations of taking care of other species.This is the basic framework of Rolston.This was a natural leap for the Western environmental ethicists.,He made the first systematic description of the nature value of the intrinsic value which opened up a unique ideological approach for the modern environmental ethics.In China,traditional Confucianism thoughts had gone through the baptism five-thousand years culture,which affected the recognization of human and natue's relation.The traditional Confucianism went for which human and nature was harmonious and united,they believe that human and others existence things had the value that could not be denied.They insisted that "kindness people love nature things","counsellor can be brought up" thoughts and so on.This was Similar with the Rolston in a large extent.And it is the reason why we combine the Rolston's theory and the traditional Confucianism's environmental theory.At the same time,because of the two different background,Rolston's theory and the traditional Confucianism's environmental theory have different theoroes,but they have association in some sides.Rolston prove his natural sentiment theory by the method of separating the subject and the object.The contradiction in the thinking mode is the fundamental reason of the lack of Rolston,and this determined that Rolston can't beyond the "Center of Human".However,despite of the perfect existed in the traditional Confucian and Rolston,but they advocated the "natural existence has it's intrinsic value" and "people should protect,care for other natural existence ",they provide the guiding role of our environmental protection.
