| visual art is one of the latest art styles in human art history. And it has achieved great accomplishment on its technique and means of artistic expressions through the short century. It is also getting abundant and perfect on theoretical study. Now the visual art is getting more and more popular which makes it a diffusion with strong force and acceptance in present days. Among the rich visual art fields, the production with the subject matters of minorities is a showy flower, which is a way of showing the amorous feelings, customs, culture, ethos and the characteristics of a certain ethnic group to the people all over the world, which also makes people in different ethnic groups to know and communicate with each other. But we can seldom see the visual art production about Dongxiang people who live in relatively isolated places and has kept their pure and primitive culture and life style. Dongxiang ethnic group has a characteristic of bravery, fortitude, tough breed and optimism by suffering a lot from the natural environment and wars against being oppressed by former rulers in the history. The thesis described the forming of Dongxiang ethnic group, ethnic culture, living environment and living history by connecting some visual art elements, such as video, sound and playscript, to show the culture and life of Dongxiang ethnic group which I think is very necessary . At the same time, I successfully collected some visual art productions of different minorities, and analyzed the reason of its development and experiences, hoping to use for my future study. In the end, the thesis disserted the productive strategy of visual art of Dongxiang ethnic group under globalization.
