| As a professional performer, practicing is an indispensable part of our career life. For a long time, we spent so much time on practicing everyday rather than thinking of its practical influence. In fact, the way of practicing has a great impact on its result, and always leads to two different results. Nevertheless, in our practicing, we should constantly remind us of two important things, i.e. self-observation and a reasonable schedule. Self-observation is quite essential. Similarly, the importance of scheduling should not be neglected, which means we should plan our time in a reasonable way. In summary, self-observation and smart scheduling are of great importance for us to achieve efficient practicing. This dissertation provides some ideas and suggestions on practicing based on violin literature The principle of violin performing and teaching written by Ivan Galamian.
