Singapore is a multi-races country and a cross bridge of eastern and western culture. Pianos were introduced into Singapore in colonial period. After independence of Singapore in 1965, piano education has been popularized. This paper is to study the actuality of piano education in Singapore. Some problem of piano education and its concept will be discussed too in Singapore. I hope this study will be a reference for piano teacher in education.The article includes text, conclusion and appendix and postscript. The text consists of three parts: The first part introduces Singapore's peculiar history briefly. The second part studies system of professional and amateur education system, as well as actuality of piano teachers. This part also points out some existing problems. From what problems have been discussed as above is pondered and studied through methods of analysis and comparison in the final part further more.
