ChenCheng,bom in Ji'an,Jiangxi province in early Ming dynasty.Ennobled with the title of jinshi by government,was sent on diplomatic missons to the Western Region many times.Xiyuxingchengji and Xiyufanguozhi were written by him,which have been come down,narrating the Western Region detailedly in that time.However,scholars paid little attentiton to the researches on Chencheng's diplomatic misssons,or most people did general introduction to his extraction,life,poems and works simply from the historical view.Regards to his visiting route,especially in the eastern sect,fewer scholars have done professional research on it until today.This paper researched from historical geography viewpoint,through meticulous analyses,getting the exact eastern route primarily,and discussing the related historical geography circs further based on the route.This paper contains four chapters.The first chapter check Chencheng's extraction life,social relations,and the causes of his visiting systematically.The second and third chapters dissertate the historical geography circs about the eastern sect of Chencheng's visiting route.The second depict the sect from Jingshi to Suzhou,and the third from Suzhou to Turpan.The fourth chapter dissertate the setting backgrounds,position extensions,moving processes,and main products about the seven garrisons in the west of Jiayuguan in Ming dynasty.
