In the thousands years of human art history and over one hundreds years of history in terms of modern design, the relation of art and modern design in real sense is intersect and infection each other, and they're only have one more hundreds of years. Generally speaking, design and art have centuries-old history and cultural origins, they've always affect each other, infiltrate each other and inter-act each others. Since the 18th century, they have different development trends and relationships. In modern design development process, art and design have a continuous process of separations and combinations. The art and design have different direction in the early modern design and Industrial Revolution period; As the first step, Bauhaus promoted a re-combination of art and design, after the complete of neoteric industrialization, but the two Overall still in the state of separation; they are attain whole hog combination in the'post-modernism'period.
