| In the modern background, the design forms a Context of Globalization, welcoming a new design wave of the multicultural symbiosis. Globalization is bound to impact on the traditional values and the national identification, and to impact on the national culture, but design globalization does not mean the identity of the designing styles and the loss of national identification. In this era of information with the globalizing of economy and culture, inheriting and carrying forward the national culture, and promoting the application of local language in modern design, are consuming demands of this era and the cultural trends. Advocating the integration of Chinese tradition and modern design is the best way to improve national identification. On the basis of absorbing foreign culture, we should creat a design culture with distinct national features.Global Context and national identification, together with the art of design, involve extensive content. This research involves cultural psychology, social psychology, design psychology, marketing, visual communication, product design and other knowledge with the focus on the expression of the national culture. Firstly, it does overall research on the relationship between the global context and national identification. Then the research deeply explores the specific ways of integration and innovation, and disscusses that in the global context, how the design embodies national style, how to express the "China elements" in modern design, how to make "the past serves the present", and other many questions. It sums up how to develop and use the outstanding traditional resources in the design field, and how to make the Chinese works permeated with the "China wind." The focus of the research is to find a reasonable joint of modern design and traditional design, to integrate the quintessence of traditional arts into the modern design concepts, to add the times elements into traditional culture, and to achieve the integration of Chinese traditional cultural elements and modern design. |
