Nowadays, Olympic Games has been developed as the greatest multi-sports event with wide range of sports and impressive effect. Meanwhile, it is the banquet with greatest visual show. As the visual symbol, the Olympics logo can be the very epitome of the designing in different periods; in addition, it also can be the centralized indication of the temporal style. The design style of Olympics logo changed along with the development of our society and people's changeable taste. The main purpose of this paper is to analysis the characteristics or styles via the main elements of impact, including the influence of indigenous culture and temporal art prevalence. Furthermore, the author analyses the different styles of Olympics logo in different periods through the investigation of logos of past Olympics. Then, the author makes a clear knowledge about the logo and summarizes the mainstream of developing of the Olympics logo. This research tries to logically clear up and summarize the developing trend of design in Olympics logo and predict the future stream. Moreover, it tries to enrich the theory of Olympics visually and make a guideline for the plane design theory and practice in China.This paper is divided by 5 parts: first parties about the introduction of the basic concepts and problems need to be solved; followed by the brief background about born of modern Olympics and its logo; The third part is the detailed analysis of the impact of indigenous culture and prevalence of art on the design style of the Olympics logo, it summarizes the major 4 periods of development of style; The forth part compares and analyses the same elements existed in the Olympics logos, and concludes the mainstream discipline of its development; The fifth part tries to predict the future trend of developing of design Olympics logo. |
