With the development of economic globalization and China's entry into WTO, the business volume with foreigners has witnessed a great increase. Accordingly, business text concerning business correspondence, business forum, financial reports, bills and forms, contracts, commercial advertisements, etc. is showing more and more importance. Therefore, it is necessary to study business translation from different perspectives. As one of the branches of applied or pragmatic translation, business text translation has been studied from many perspectives such as economics and functional equivalence theory. Meanwhile, a lot of translation strategies and principles have been put forward to guide the translation practice of business documents.The author offers a new perspective - to study business translation from the perspective of translation aesthetics. Under the guidance of Professor Liu Miqing's translation aesthetics, the author analyzes the difference between Chinese and English business texts, probes into the appropriate translation strategy; with the aim of providing a general guidance for business translation and improving the quality of translating business documents. This thesis consists of four chapters besides introduction and conclusion.Introduction briefly introduces the significance, the research methodology and the whole structure of this dissertation.Chapter One is literature review of the perspective of translation aesthetics, which lays a theoretic foundation for this thesis, including the development and main contents of translation aesthetics.Chapter Two makes a comprehensive study on the comparison of vocabulary, syntax, and text in Chinese and English, as well as the relation between business text language and translation aesthetics.Chapter Three applies the theory of translation aesthetics to the translation of business texts. This chapter elaborates the translation process, translation constituents of business text language, the application of translation aesthetical principles, as well as the application of translation aesthetical criteria. Based on the above considerations, it summarizes three strategies for translating business texts.Chapter Four concludes suitable translation strategies and techniques for translating business texts. According to the "2A's" and "2P's" criteria - accuracy and appropriateness, preference and perfection, the author suggests to translators the following translation techniques: literal translation, free translation and domesticating translation.In the end, the present draws a conclusion and points out the limitations of this dissertation with suggestions for the future research.
