Animation is a kind of art, humorous,directly-viewed and easy to understand, thus it is very popular. For children, animation is a kind of entertainment, bringing joy to them and helping them understand truth, goodness and beauty .Animation is also a kind of industry promoting the economic development of a country.Throughout the fifties to eighties in the 20th century, Chinese animations enjoyed prosperity. They won the honor of "China School"and became known world-wide for their special ethnic style .But over the recent 20 years, with the progress of globalization and rapid development of science and technology , great powers of animation such as the United States and Japan have invaded China, and the Chinese animation market has nearly been monopolized by those countries. The Chinese animation industry has gradually declined and become culturally "aphasia". The Chinese government has made a whole set of policies to promote the development of Chinese animations. At present , to improve the quality of Chinese animations is a problem in need of prompt solution. The thesis consists of three chapters. Chapter one is an overview of the history of Chinese animations and describes the present status of their cultural "aphasia" and the consequences. In comparison with animations by the United States and Japan, Chapter two analyzes the reasons of cultural "aphasia" of Chinese animations from the following four aspects : psychological needs of audiences, subject matters and plots, imaginations and entertaining elements. The third chapter discusses strategies of high-quality Chinese animation production, putting forward the following suggestions: combining national characterics with international trends, entertainment with education, romanticism with realism, and promoting industrialization of Chinese animations.
