But, the former scholars usually stress on the culture that the destined novels contained in Tang & Wudai Dynasties. The thesis is based on the study of the destined novels in Tang & Wudai Dynasties and divided into four parts:The first part mainly analyzes the appearance and the development of the destined novels in Tang & Wudai Dynasties. It had reflected to the novel author's destiny idea in certain extent that the destined novels appeared massively in Tang & Wudai Dynasties. As early as the Spring and Autumn Period Warring States time's, the destiny novels has had the embryonic form in the historical story. To Wei & Jin Dynasties, the destiny novels firstly appeared, and it has own unique characteristic. This kind of novels had massively prosperous in Tang & Wudai Dynasties. And this phenomenon was related closely to the social and cultural context.The second part inspects on the text of novels and mainly analyzes four subjects of the destined novels in Tang & Wudai Dynasties. Through to reorganize the text of Destined Novels of Taiping Miscellany according to the writing time, we can narrate and comment the destined novels in Tang & Wudai Dynasties longitudinally. And through to divide the Destined Novels into four mainly subjects we can compare them transversely.The third part emphasize particularly on the narrative art of the destined novels in Tang & Wudai Dynasties. On the one hand, the destined novels in Tang & Wudai Dynasties had constructed one world where only ghost live in. On the other hand, it formed a set of narrative pattern. And from this we can research the unique narrative art of the destined novels deeply. The last part tries to elaborate the inheritance and the development of the destined novels in the later dynasty basing on the several representatives later novels.
