Under influence of the globalization, all national cultures begin to break limitation from region or mode and develop unprecedentedly through mutual exchange, fusion and supplementary among cultures. As a result, world culture appears vigorously. Unfortunately, some western developed countries make use of cultural exchange to control other countries. With help from great strength of economy, power of science and technology and media advantage ,they infiltrate and instill their ideology, social system and life style into other nations and try to bring the nations into a frame of cultural integration which characterized by western centralism. Therefore, there come conflicts among different national cultures. The development of national cultures is affected. Facing exchange and fusion, collision and conflicts among current cultures, the primary task of Chinese culture is to catch opportunities and develop herself in order to realize the aim that the excellent parts of Chinese culture could be refined as cosmopolitan culture and compose resources and wealth of civilization shared by all human beings.Under the background of globalization, Chinese culture has met a lot of difficulties on the way of development. For example, on one hand, Chinese culture is being pushed aside by cultures from European and American system. At the same time, it is impacted on many sides by hegemonic culture of western developed capitalist countries. On the other hand, Chinese culture has encountered severe challenges during her modernized reforming, such as decline of moral status, change of thinking mode etc.. However, from another side we can see that globalization has provided opportunities of development for Chinese culture, such as broad demonstration platform, advanced means of communication and chances of absorbing outstanding ingredient of external cultures.Developing in the environment containing opportunities and challenges simultaneously, the construction of Chinese culture must be a long-term complex arduous project. Therefore, except for insisting on the guiding status of Maxism, on the cultural idea of keeping with the times, on people oriented development approach, on the goal of building a harmonious culture, we should follow the development path of modernization on the base of maintaining our own national subjectivity and Chinese culture world development direction and construct culture systematically from cultural dialogue, cultural fusion, cultural consciousness, cultural innovation etc.. In addition, we should avoid stepping into development erroneous zones about cultural center principle and culture nihilism.
