The Reseach Of Western Culture Hegemonism Impact On China

With the development of globalization, culture is becoming an important part that can not be ignored. By force of their dominant economic and political positions in today's world, some developed countries are selling their culture value and culture products to other countries. Thus, they can carry out culture hegemonism to affect the tradition, value and ideology in developing countries. Under this circumstances, realizing the influence that western culture hegemonism brings to us, planning the strategy that to the question, rejecting cultural colonization, and developing our national culture are the problems that Chinese government is facing now. By analyzing history and root of western culture hegemonism, researching its development process in China and its impact on Chinese culture, we are aiming to find out practical strategies to develop the advanced culture in China and to reject culture hegemonism from the western countries.The first part of this paper focuses on definition, features and history of western culture hegemonism. Through the analysis, the writer points out that western culture hegemonism has developed for a long period of time, therefore it has become the soft strength for western countries to control dissident countries.In the second part, by carrying out historical inspection on western culture hegemonism in China, the writer points out that what those western countries want to do is to reach their political and economic goals. To reach these goals, those countries will change the way and strengthen the power of culture invasion. The second part is presented to elicit the third part of this paper.In the third part, the writer makes our attitude toward western culture hegemonism clear by analyzing it on the basis of Marxism theories. The writer also puts forward measures that can be used to cope with western culture hegemonism in China. Meanwhile, the important role of government in dealing with western culture hegemonism affairs is emphasized.In the conclusion, the writer forecasts development of western culture hegemonism in China, concludes that China has heavy task on developing the advanced culture and rejecting western culture hegemonism in the future.But at last China will get the final victory.
