Qi Feng is one organic composing part of The Book of Poems. But now study about it is very frail, and there isn't one scholar who has studied it from various angles. Such study about other Guo Feng is also very frail. In view of above-mentioned facts, I have made a thorough and overall study of Qi Feng from different angles. My thesis is composed of four parts. The first part The Interpretation about Qi Feng by Representative Confucian Classicists of Successive Dynasties elaborates the interpretation and its characteristic that have been made by the representative Confucian classicists from the West Han Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty. This is composed four stages: 1 From the West Han Dynasty to the Tang Dynasty: The Confucian classicists of the Han Dynasty took the poems as footnotes of history and drew a forced analogy. They all took Qi Feng as a means of propagating the Confucian School thought. The Confucian classicists from the Wei Dynasty to the Tang Dynasty essentially carried out the traditions of the Han Dynasty. Kong Yingda achieved great success. 2 The Song Dynasty and the Yuan Dynasty period: The characteristics of the interpretation of this period are censuring Mao Xu and defending traditional moral principles. The delegates were Ou Yangxiu Wang Zhi Zhu Xi etc. They all doubted the point of view of MaoXu boldly. They could announce the poems original meaning according to the original texts. At the same time, they respected the poems that reflect romantic love as obscene poems. The interpretation of the Yuan Dynasty historical romance of Zhu Xi Shi Ji Zhuan. 3 The Ming Dynasty period: The Confucian classicists followed the point of Zhu Xi Shi Ji Zhuan in the earlier stage of the Ming Dynasty. The Confucian classicists could appreciate and interpret Qi Feng from literature angle in the middle-later stage of the Ming Dynasty. 4 The Qing-Dynasty period: The Confucian classicists of the Qing Dynasty can be differentiated into two groups: the text research group and the independent thinking group. The former paid attention to exegetical studies and took Mao Xu as standard of explaining Qi Feng. The later tried hard to remove the interferences of Mao Xu and Mao Zhuan. They could appreciate Qi Feng from literature angle. They have achieved success.Qi Feng under the Angle of View of the Society discusses political style, aesthetic, and society life that Qi Feng embodies. There six poems in Qi Feng that reflect the political life of Qi Guo and we can make out that Qi Guo people paid close attention to political life according this. Qi Feng has a distinctive feeling fundamental key-joyous and happy. The man prettiness and woman beauty that Qi Feng embodies not only shows people's aesthetic sense at that time, but also has local color. Qi Feng embodies Qi Guo people's love life, fishing life, hunting life, plowing life and weaving life, too.Qi Feng under the Angle of View of Culture discusses the influence brought by Dong Yi culture and Zhou culture. Qi Feng came into being mainly on Dong Yi old haunt, so Dong Yi culture, such as optimism and happiness, consanguineous marriage, military spirit, being expert in shoot, influenced the theme and measure of value.Qi Feng under the Angle of View of Literature discusses the literary characteristics of Qi Feng. Qi Feng embodies literary characteristics, such as realistic artistic method, the using of Fu, Bi, Xing technique, language, sentence pattern. Though these are the literary characteristics of The Book of Poems, Oi Feng has unique literary grace itself and achieved a great attainment.
