A Study On Wang Yang-ming's Poetry

As one of the most dynamic thinkers in the Confucian tradition,Wang Yang-ming has exerted profound influence on generations of East Asian intellectuals. Simultaneously, Wang Yang-ming was also a poet .He was not only famous for his poetry in his early life, and also had not given up writting during the most of his living life.In view of the research on Wang Yang-ming's poetry are relatively weak,this thesis takes Wang Yang-ming's poetry as the research object and which is mainly focus on Wang Yang-ming's lifetime., poetry ,and his impact on the writers in middle and late Ming Dynasty.The main structure and contents are as following:Chapter I :Wang Yang-ming's lifttime. This chapter mainly discusses his ancestry ,personality and philosophy views.Chapter II :Wang Yang-ming's poetry creation. His poetry takes on different features in different periods. This chapter is emphasis on this point and also appraise on his poems which were written in Yu-Yao.Chapter III: Wang Yang-ming's poetry views.As one of the most important thinkers in the Confucian tradition, Wang Yang-ming's views on the art of poetry were not only in common with that of Confucian's, but also had a great relationship with his philosophy.Chapter IV: Wang Yang-ming's impact on the literati in middle and late Ming Dynasty. It can be divided into two aspects. On one hand, he had a great impact on the school of the antiquarian trend of literary .Xu Zhen-qing and Zheng Shan-fu were the representatives.On another hand, he had a great impact on the school of the evolution trend of the literary .Xu Wei,Li Zhi and the Three Yuan Brothers of gong 'an School were the representatives.
