Research On Hu Zhi’s Poetics And His Poetry Creation

Hu Zhi was an important scholar in the middle and late Ming Dynasty,referred to as one of the " Three Academic Masters of Jiangxi".He was on friendly terms with important scholars of Yangming philosophy,like Ouyang De,Luo Hongxian,Zou Shouyi,Geng Dingming,and made intimate friends with some literary leaders such as tang Shunzhi,Li Xianfang,Zhao Zhenji,and political figures including zhang Juzheng,Li Chunfang.Under the influence of the ideological trend which features returning to ancients and Xinxue(The Philosophy of the Mind)mechanism,Hu Zhi’s poetry changed four times,as he held the idea of verve poetics and insisted that "restoring ancient ways" should not be the only standard of a charming poem.Moreover,his poetry is undoubtedly of great significance in the literary world of Ming Dynasty.This thesis aims at studying Hu Zhi’s poetics concept and poetry creation.Based on it,the research is carried out from two aspects: first,mainly using research approach to literature,it makes a detailed review of Hu Zhi’s family learning,personality,mentor and friends,and comprehensively explores the poetics concept and poetry creation that have yet not attracted enough attention of later generations;second,from the point of view of document arrangement,it researches into his friends and Chronicles his life.Bulit on this line of thought,the body is divided into three parts as follows:The first part is the introduction,presenting Hu’s works and the circulation condition.Through carding the research status,thus gaining a better understanding of Hu and researches on his works,the author,as finding there exists a striking lack of researches on his poetics and poetry creation,decides on the starting point and the innovation point of this thesis and makes it clear that his idea of poetry and poetry creation are of great practical use and research value.The second part is the body,including four chapters.The first chapter explores Hu Zhi’s family learning and personality,and discusses the influence of his teaching and communication on hu Zhi’s thought and literary concept.The second chapter studies Hu Zhi’s poetics concept,first explores the influence of the mechanism background of restoring ancient ways and repeating ancient ways in the middle and late Ming Dynasty on Hu Zhi’s poetics concept,then analyzes the process of the four changes of Hu Zhi’s poetics,and finally focuses on explaining Hu Zhi’s ideas of "restoring ancient ways" and "Ya" and "Dan" and "verve".The third chapter analyzes Hu Zhi’s poetry works,summarizes the content of the poetry,deeply discusses the remarkable characteristics of his poetry in style,language,style and image,and explores the aesthetic value of his poetry works.The fourth chapter explores hu Zhi’s poetics status and influence,shows hu Zhi’s pioneering position of "verve" poetics by combining literature and history,and excavates hu Zhi’s expanding effect on pan-Jiangxi poetics.The third part is the conclusion.This paper makes an objective and fair evaluation on Hu Zhi from the overall point of view,and shows hu Zhi’s unique charm in the literary world in the middle and late Ming Dynasty.Through the study of the above contents,Hu Zhi’s literary achievements are displayed,the scope of research on Hu Zhi is extended in the academic circle,and an example is provided for us to understand and study the literary characteristics of Yangming scholars in the middle and late Ming Dynasty and jiangxi regional culture,contributing to the promotion of Chinese traditional culture and strengthening cultural confidence.
