Business English education institutions are mainly expected to work in fields of foreign trading, export and import business, and international business. Planned positions are adequate and various, while requirements are also higher. Unfortunately, feedback information has shown that professional quality of Business English Majors is not so ideal, and their career operation competence and office software skills are also below the levels set for a qualified employer in the above businesses. Therefore, it should be considered as a key education aim for higher vocational education to improve their career efficiency, training them to better serve for the economic development of locality.Due to its not very long history of development, Business English Specialty hasnot formed discriminating characteristics of its own, and its teaching modes are mainly borrowed from that of English Language and Literature Major in common higher education. Although there are continuous hot debate over how to encourage individual development in teaching practice, the research on practical teaching and the cultivation of technique as a whole has not yet been done. The undergraduate students could not meet the requirement of the society.In this paper, the author focus on the cultivation of the undergraduate of vocational college and adopt the practice of Guangdong Baiyun University as case. The paper put forward that the university has to make full use of the resource of companies, adopt the open-ended teaching mode. Besides the 1-year-long "2+1" apprentice practice operation, majors of the specialty can also take part in "school-based simulation activities" and "professional operation practice at Guangzhou Trading Fair", in which they will be able to gain more career skills through the sources above. This education mode has accomplished much more than expected and is widely accepted and welcomed by society, parents and students.
