Zhang Huaiguan,the calligrapher,the calligraphy theoretician in Tang Dynasty,has left a lot of book comments on work.His great achievement of representative work "the book breaks " among them,one collected works on the earlier stage of calligraphy's science history,showing highly solicitude for philology content,theory is also extremely rare in past dynasties book,content relates to important philology tasks such as characters origin and chirography origin and development.And the main body of a book is chosen as main object of study "the book breaks ",consulting Mrs.Zhang's other book comments on.the study's direction having been in progress such as commenting on,affecting to Zhang Huaiguan's book philology theory.We find Zhang Huaiguan's "the book breaks " inherited and absorbing predecessors' academic achievement,relate to many achievement on characters origin and chirography origin and development before Tang and Tang Dynasty;And a lot of predecessors' precious data having preserved;put forward a point of Chinese character comes form the Eight Diagrams;express the clear view on chirography orion and development. Carding on Chinese script before the Qing Dynasty,large seal style,Zhouwen style of calligraphy,small seal style,Eight mark,Li calligraphy,simplified form of cursive script, running hand,style of calligraphy characterized by hollow strokes,cursive script ten kinds chirographies origin and development have carried out and engaged in textual research;Have set forth self checking characters' breeding,have multiplied for the way cognition,have suggested that "mother and son that characters generates says ".Research has discovered, Zhang Huaiguan's philology theory in the book comment on has all produced comparatively far-reaching effect on future generations' books of philology and study of calligraphy.
