How to make a better violin education is constantly explored and assiduously sought by many violin educators. In this article, the guidance meaning of constructivism to exploring the current children violin education was expressed by complete introduction of constructivism learning theory and considering the characteristic of the physical and mental development of children aged 6 to 12. As a result, the children violin education concept was improved. The children violin teaching content and method was consummated and developed.There was three parts in this article.In the first part, the history, development and the basic view of constructivism was introduced. Moreover, the education mode and method advocated by constructivism was also introduced. At last, the meaning of constructivism education theory was discussed.In the second part, the current status of children violin education in our country was analyzed in teacher qualification, teaching, teaching material and society circumstance aspect. The comparatively worse phenomenon in teaching content, teaching method, teaching artifice, construction of teacher team was pointed out.In the third part, the necessity and feasibility of introducing constructivism theory into violin education was analyzed firstly. Then, some new views about children violin education were pointed out with the guidance of constructivism theory. In the point of view, the process of children's learning violin performance was not a passive process, but a positive process. It is said that the violin performance skill could not transfer from one person to another one. The performance skill and knowledge of one person must base on the operation of experience and communication. This skill and knowledge could be positively constructed by reflection, and it included the following aspect: 1, constructing violin education process focused on teaching and developing children's interest in violin learning. 2, constructing violin education process focused on the experience and knowledge background of student.3, learning violin by cooperation. 4, the repeating practice should be avoided and the contracting skill in scientific practice was advocated. 5, teachers were not only the fugleman or guide. 6, there should be evaluation and feedback in violin education. 7, a better violin learning circumstance should be built by modern education technology. 8, the view focusing on skill training should be changed and the self-learning strategy should be brought up in violin learning. 9, the exchange visits between teacher and student should be added into the violin education. 10, sociality.The teachers' understand of constructivism should be advanced. And the guidance of constructivism to children violin education should be recognized. Consciously using constructivism theory into education activity is the main point of successful children violin education. In this article, the advanced, innovate and practical constructivism theory in education area could be introduced into violin performance and teaching practice and make students and teachers attend to the problem.
