Xuzhou is the cradle of Han Dynasty culture. Liubang, the opening emperor of the state of western han was born in Xuzhou. His descendants, thirteen Chu kings and Pengcheng King's territories and tombs are also in Xuzhou. Because of many noble tombs, there are a lot of historical sites. Therefore, Xuzhou is one of richest centralized places where there are many Han cultural relics: such as Han tombs, Han dynasty stone relief, Han terracotta figures of armoured warriors and horses. They are called Han dynasty Three Specialties. Han dynasty culture makes Xuzhou famous historical cities. Thus some history scholars think that Ming and Qing Dynasty culture are in Beijing, pre-qin dynasty culture is in Xi'an and Han Dynasty culture is in Xuzhou. The paper studies the artistry of Han culture so that it offers art reference for the development of modern design art. Simultaneously, it provides the basis for reference of ancient traditional art.The paper studies from the angle of combination between visual communication design and reference design. Through the study of the developing history of ancient art, it analyses various style visual art systematically to summarize the practical rules of reference design on visual art design concretely. Through research on the psychological aesthetic meaning of Han culture, conclusions are reached on referring kinds applicable to the modern visual art design, its influence on human's biological and psychological aspects and its social significance. It will achieve higher art value and provide enlightenment and thought for modern visual art design study.
