The Study Of Hu Hong's Thought Of Historical Science

Hu Hong was one of the most distinguished neo-Confucians during the last period of Northern Song Dynasty and the early Southern Song Dynasty, as well as an important founder of Huxiang School. For a long time, his philosophy thought of Hu Hong has been the focus of the academic research on him has been stressed to, while other aspects little involved. This article makes an attempt to probe into his thought of historical science, excavating his thought of historical science from the social background he lived in. Then we can realize his though of historical science and make a fair reasonable appraisal. The paper consists of four sections as follows.Section I: Introduce Hu Hong's life and his academic origins.
